DA42-VI The Definition of Perfection

The brand-new DA42-VI equipped with the optimized AE300 diesel engine is both powerful and economical. Jet-type power control, advanced Garmin G1000NXi avionics system, and similar flight modes with light jets and turbojets can bring excellent experience to students. DA42-VI is preferred by most well-known aviation schools in China.

Highlights

Full Composite Fuselage

DA42-VI with an attractive and modern shape, built out of high-performance carbon fiber composite material, will assure the durability for many years. The unlimited life airframe with excellent aerodynamic performance is far less prone to dents and dings than an aluminum airplane. Composite construction unlike aluminum allows for adding materials only where needed for extra strength, reducing overall weight and material and increasing interior room, comfort and useful load.

A New Generation of Diesel-Engined Aviation

DA42-VI is equipped with the new AE300 diesel engine with strong power and good economy, and extremely outstanding performance. The two engines equipped on the DA42-VI can offer the maximum power up to 336hp. Not only its power out but also the economic performance are noticeably increased in comparison with the basic version DA42.

For ordinary aviation gasoline aircrafts, it can maintain the maximum power output of engine at 6000 feet, and the maximum power output performance of engine would be degraded significantly with the increase of altitude. The AE300 turbocharged diesel engine of DA42 can still reach the maxium power output at 10000 feet, leading more advantages of Diamond Aircraft in high altitude areas.

Significant Performance Improvement of DA42-VI

Compared with previous DA42 series ,the DA42-VI has great improvements in the most important aspects, like flight performance and takeoff weight.

Simplified Single-Engined Operations

DA42-VI uses modern technology to simplify the handing and operation as much as possible. Feathering an engine is as easy as flipping a switch and restarting it after a simulated shut down. With a single-engine ceiling of 10,000 feet (3048 meters), the DA42-VI convinces on the performance front as well.

It is true that DA42’s two engines are easier to operate than the one engine on many complex singles due to one power lever per engine. No need to worry about controlling throttle value or advancing the prop to high rpm before landing. The fine-tuned computers take care of all of that, leaving you more time to focus on the big picture.

Advanced Avionics

The Garmin G1000 synthetic vision system displays the synthesizing terrain, flight hazard, flight path indicator and air route on the primary flight display, which changes the cockpit. The pilot is still able to perceive the flight situation even in poor visibility or dark condition, which can significantly reduce operation strength and enhance security.

The capable Garmin G1000 avionics system makes flight planning and plan changes in the air less challenge. A dual-alternator, dual battery system provides you with the confidence that your avionics will be there when you need them. The anti-static primer combined with static wicks ensures the proper work of avionics system especially in humid environment.

Certified TKS De-icing System

A proven TKS ice protection system helps the DA42-VI to withstand flight into known icing conditions. Wings, tail, propellers and wind shield are protected with TKS fluid. The redundant systems and rigorous flight tests have demonstrated and proved the ability of the DA42-VI to withstand icing long enough to get you back to safety.

Build-up of Excellent Master Pilot

Many industry leading aviation schools make the DA42-VI a key plane in their fleets. With the DA42-VI, students can obtain training experience that is essential when switching to jets or airliners after graduation. Jet-like thrust control, advanced Garmin G1000 glass cockpit, and flight modes and procedures similar to those encountered by light jets and turbo-jets ensure students to be ready for their next step.
